As Summer Ends -- Some Good News from the U.K.

In past issues of the ImpossibleCure.com newsletter, I've talked about the travails of the homeopathic community in the U.K. as they continually fight the onslaughts of the "quackbuster" community there. The efforts of these big-pharma-paid shills seem never-ending and extend their reach world-wide.

However, there is some good news as well. The will of the people sometimes does trump the power of moneyed interests!

The U.K. Department of Health listened to the voice of the people (as well as many members of parliament and, of course, the Royal Family who have always used homeopathy). They agreed that the benefits of homeopathy are certainly a bargain, especially given their relatively meager cost, and refused to remove funding for homeopathy from the National Health Service despite the clamor of a few outspoken and well-publicized naysayers. In their decision statement, the Department of Health also underscored the importance of health freedom -- the patient's and physician's right to choose the mode of treatment they pursue.

You can read about this decision in this article in the Daily Mail. The actual text of the government's decision can be read here.

You might also be amused by the discussions in support of this decision in parliament. Search for the word "homeopathy" as you scroll through this page. The final testimonial about an MP's grandmother is particularly heart-warming!

Nobel Laureate Gives Homeopathy A Boost

While the "quackbusters" are down, let's give 'em a one-two punch!

Last year, 2008 Nobel prize-winner Luc Montagnier (awarded for his research in the 1980s that confirmed the link between HIV and AIDS) published a study that showed that highly-diluted and succussed DNA had effects. He now believes, like homeopaths, that this "potentization" process affects the structure of water, thereby conferring effects even when the solution no longer contains molecules of the original substance.

Dr. Montagnier must be both a brilliant and brave man, because he did not swerve from discussing these results before his esteemed colleagues, who were well aware that this new work gives credence to the scientific basis of homeopathy. Bravo Dr. Montagnier!
